Historique
Le moulin est l'une des unités qui composaient la ferme expérimentale construite vers 1761 par Jacques Alexandre de Ladebat, armateur bordelais. Cette ferme était destinée à la culture de céréales mais également à l'élevage de vers à soie, nourris grâce à une plantation de mûriers. Dernier vestige de cet ensemble, la ferme ayant été détruite en 1970, le moulin à trois arches est bâti sur la rivière qui sert de limite aux communes de Pessac et de Mérignac. Restauré en 1993, il se distingue par l'architecture de son élévation amont : niche à voûte en cul de four avec moulures et agrafe à volutes, fronton à décor figurant eau ruisselante, conque et plantes aquatiques.

History
The mill is one of the units that made up the experimental farm constructed around 1761 by Jacques Alexandre de Ladebat, Bordeaux ship owner. This farm was intended for the cultivation of cereals but also for the rearing of silkworms, fed thanks to a plantation of mulberry trees. The last remnant of this complex, the farm having been destroyed in 1970, the mill with three arches is built on the river which serves as the boundary between the communes of Pessac and Mérignac. Restored in 1993, it is distinguished by the architecture of its upstream elevation: niche with a shell vault with mouldings and voluted keystone, pediment decorated with flowing water, conch and aquatic plants.
