Entièrement remanié à la fin du 15e siècle, ce moulin fortifié appartint pendant des siècles à l'abbaye de la Sauve-Majeure. De forme barlongue, il se distingue par la présence de croix, servant d'antéfixes, surmontant les murs des façades nord et sud. Des balcons avec mâchicoulis ainsi que des contreforts saillants protègent la porte nord. Une roue verticale, aujourd'hui disparue, d'environ cinq mètres de diamètre, entraînait deux paires de meules, encore en place, qui ont fonctionné jusqu'en 1950.

History
Entirely remodeled at the end of the 15th century, this fortified mill belonged for centuries to the abbey of la Sauve-Majeure. Of an oblong shape, it is distinguished by the presence of crosses, serving as antefixes, surmounting the walls of the north and south facades. Balconies with machicolations as well as prominent buttresses protect the north door. A vertical wheel, now disappeared, of approximately five meters in diameter, drove two pairs of millstones, still in place, which operated until 1950.
