History

Small Romanesque building of the 11th century which underwent important modifications in the 12th, 13th and 16th centuries. From the original construction remains the barrel-vaulted choir and the apse in cul de four lit by three small windows. In the 12th century, the arm of the transept and the north apse were replaced by a bell tower on a dome whose substructures connect with difficulty to the preserved parts of the primitive church. In the 13th century, the crossing of the nave and transept was vaulted with ribs. In the 16th century the two aisles were built. At a later period, the nave and aisles, which were panelled, were covered with plaster vaults; the bell tower was heightened by one storey and covered with a spire in polychrome tiles.
