History
A castle chapel is mentioned at the beginning of the 12th century. A reconstruction of the castle appears to have been initiated by Bertrand de Panisseau after 1265. The polygon of the ramparts comprises a small castle to the north, and two towers. The castle consists of a fortress enclosed behind a ditch, as well as curtain walls flanked by towers encircling the entire butte. The present castle has buildings of the 17th century built on masonry of the 13th. A wing was added in the 20th century.
