History
This gate is the only vestige of the fortifications. It is embedded in modern buildings. The west face, the most interesting, has two arches with traces of a portcullis and drawbridge. The east face has only loopholes. This gate of the 12th century was built in Roman bricks coming from the ancient enceinte.
