Ancienne commanderie de l'ordre de Saint-Jean de Jérusalem fondée sans doute au 12e siècle, et restaurée vers 1540. Cette commanderie faisait partie de la langue de Provence. Après la prise de la Bastille, la commanderie est pillée. L'édifice se présente comme un corps barlong, accosté d'un donjon carré du 14e siècle, avec chemin de ronde sur corbeaux et, à l'angle opposé, une tourelle du 16e siècle découronnée. Il est complété par un second bâtiment, avec tour de défense carrée. Les anciennes douves ont été comblées. Toiture en ardoise de Brive.

History
Former commandery of the order of Saint-Jean de Jérusalem founded no doubt in the 12th century, and restored around 1540. This commandery formed part of the tongue of Provence. After the taking of the Bastille, the commandery is pillaged. The building presents itself as an oblong body, flanked by a square keep of the 14th century, with wall-walk on corbels and, at the opposite angle, a 16th-century turret without its crowning. It is completed by a second building, with square defensive tower. The old moats have been filled in. Roof in Brive slate.
