Située hors des anciens remparts de la ville, l'église dépendait à l'origine d'un monastère bénédictin fondé au 9e siècle. Au 13e siècle, construction d'une nouvelle église gothique restée inachevée. History
Located outside the former ramparts of the city, the church was originally dependent on a Benedictine monastery founded in the 9th century. In the 13th century, construction of a new Gothic church which remained unfinished. Late 15th century, new building constructed within the first. After the turmoil caused by the Wars of Religion, the church is restored under Henri IV. Major works of interior restoration in the 18th century. Sold as national property during the Revolution, then returned to worship and restored in the early 19th century, the old furnishings are replaced by furnishings recovered from the church of the Jacobins (pulpit, altar of the Virgin...).
