L'ensemble, constitué du château, du moulin et de communs, est situé sur les bords de l'Isle. Le château, des 16e et 17e siècles, se compose d'un corps de logis rectangulaire et d'une tour circulaire accolée à l'angle nord-est ; il présente dans ses bow-windows une particularité curieuse et rare pour cette époque. Reconstruit avec les pierres des murailles du château à la fin du 17e siècle, le moulin castral en situation insulaire s'arrime à une longue digue maçonnée d'une cinquantaine de mètres d'implantation médiévale ; c'est une construction en pierre de taille, de dimensions ramassées, couverte d'un grand toit à la Mansart et flanquée aux angles de petites échauguettes formant pigeonnier ; il est équipé d'un intéressant dispositif technique dont il conserve des vestiges malgré les débordements renouvelés de l'Isle et, en particulier, la grande crue de 1910 ; à la fin du 19e siècle, il alignait cinq rouets pour cinq paires de meules et actionnait une meule à huile.

History
The whole, consisting of the castle, the mill and outbuildings, is situated on the banks of the Isle. The castle, of the 16th and 17th centuries, is composed of a rectangular main dwelling and a circular tower attached to the north-east angle; it presents in its bow-windows a curious and rare particularity for this period. Rebuilt with stones from the castle walls at the end of the 17th century, the castle mill in an island situation is moored to a long dike of dressed stone some fifty metres long of medieval construction; it is a construction of ashlar, of compact dimensions, covered with a large Mansart roof and flanked at the angles with small machicolations forming a dovecote; it is equipped with an interesting technical device of which it retains traces despite the repeated overflowing of the Isle and, in particular, the great flood of 1910; at the end of the 19th century, it had five mill wheels for five pairs of stones and operated an oil mill.
