Ensemble de fortifications décidé par Napoléon Ier pour renforcer le dispositif de défense des côtes méditerranéennes. La réalisation commence en 1810, mais la plupart des fortins furent bâtis entre 1841 et 1861. La batterie du Lequin est un bâtiment rectangulaire, avec entrée à l'ouest. Une première batterie, datant de 1794, a été réorganisée en 1811, puis en 1847.

History
Complex of fortifications decided by Napoleon I to reinforce the defensive system of the Mediterranean coast. Construction began in 1810, but most of the forts were built between 1841 and 1861. The battery of Lequin is a rectangular building, with entrance to the west. A first battery, dating from 1794, was reorganised in 1811, then in 1847.
