The Finnish Heritage Agency's description

Kosken kirkko edustaa yksityiskohdiltaan viimeisteltyä 1930-luvun sakraalirakentamista. Julkisten laitosrakennusten suunnittelijana tunnettu arkkitehti Toivo Paatela on soveltanut Kosken kirkon suunnittelijana uusasiallisen selkeitä arkkitehtuurimuotoja. Kirkko sijaitsee maisemallisesti kauniilla paikalla puistomaisessa mäntymetsässä.

Kosken kirkko on tyypiltään päätytornillinen pitkäkirkko. Sakaristo sijaitsee kuoripäädyssä ja kuorin molemmin puolin on sijoitettu pienet, kirkkosaliin avautuvat matalat siipiosat. Toinen siipi on toiminut alkuaan seurakunta- ja toinen pyhäkoulusalina. Kirkkosalia kattaa kannastaan voimakkaasti porrastettu, kuoriaukon levyinen betoniholvi. Maalarimestari C.G. Söderstrandin maalaama kaksiosainen alttaritaulu on seurakunnan edellisestä kirkosta. Kirkkosalin muuhun taiteelliseen koristeluun kuuluvat koristetaiteilija Bruno Tuukkasen tekemät maalaukset saarnatuolissa, siipiosien yläpuolisissa seinäpinnoissa sekä urkulehterin kaiteessa ja sakariston sisäkatossa olevassa matalassa kupolissa. Penkkikorttelien yläpuolella riippuvat Taito Oy:n valmistamat kruunuvalaisimet. Tummaksi petsattu kiinteä sisustus on säilynyt alkuperäisenä.

Koski church represents the finely detailed sacred building of the 1930s. Architect Toivo Paatela, known as a designer of public institutional buildings, applied clearly defined New Objectivity architectural forms as the designer of Koski church. The church is located in a scenic spot in a park-like pine forest.

Koski church is a long church with a gable tower. The vestry is at the chancel end, and on each side of the chancel are small, low wing sections opening into the nave. One wing originally served as a parish hall and the other as a Sunday school room. The nave is covered by a strongly stepped concrete vault, from its springers, the width of the chancel opening. The two-part altarpiece, painted by master painter C.G. Söderstrand, comes from the parish's previous church. Other artistic decoration of the nave includes paintings by decorative artist Bruno Tuukkanen on the pulpit, on the wall surfaces above the wing sections, on the organ gallery railing, and in the low dome in the vestry ceiling. Chandeliers made by Taito Oy hang above the pew blocks. The dark-stained fixed interior has survived in its original form.

Koski Tl was established as a chapel of Marttila in 1647 under the name Ylistaro. It was separated as an independent parish in 1901, which took effect in 1913. The church, built to the drawings of architect Toivo Paatela, was completed in 1935. The old wooden church completed in 1817 was demolished the same year, but on the old church site along Hämeen Härkätie there still stands a bell tower built in 1777. The nave of Koski church was restored in 1985 to a plan drawn up by the Turku architectural office Laiho-Pulkkinen-Raunio.
