Kuvaus
Pohjaltaan tasavartiseen ristikirkkoon liittyy luoteiskulmassa kellotorni. Julkisivut ovat harmaata squared rubble -graniittikvaaderia. Päätyjen koristeluun on käytetty punatiiltä. Kirkkosalia kattavat teräsbetoniset tähtiholvit. Alttari sijaitsee pohjoissakarassa. Alttaritaulun takana on Josef Stenbäckin väliaikaiseksi alttaritauluksi kalkkivärein maalaama Pyhä Ehtoollinen, jäljennös Edvard Gerbhardtin maalauksesta. Kirkkosalin peräseinällä on vanhasta kirkosta siirretty alttaritaulu Viimeinen tuomio 1760-luvulta. Urkujen julkisivu on Stenbäckin suunnittelema.
Historia
Laitilaan kuulunut Pyhäranta (aik. Rohdainen) siirrettiin Pyhämaan kappeliksi 1688 ja seurakunnan ensimmäinen kirkko rakennettiin mantereelle 1690-luvulla. Toinen kirkko valmistui samalle paikalle 1758.

Description
The church of Pyhäranta is rare among the medieval grey stone churches and the 18th-century wooden churches of Finland Proper: it is a stone church representing the national romantic style of architect Josef Stenbäck, who designed several churches and their repairs at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
The church stands on Astanmäki hill beside the bay and the old harbour. It is the parish's third church in sequence, and it is surrounded by an old cemetery. An equal-armed cross church in plan is joined at its northwest corner by a bell tower. The façades are of grey squared rubble granite. Red brick has been used for the decoration of the gables. The church hall is covered by reinforced concrete star vaults. The altar is in the north transept. The altarpiece and the stained glass of the altar wall were painted by Ilmari Heinonen. Behind the altarpiece is Holy Communion, painted in lime paint by Josef Stenbäck as a temporary altarpiece, a copy of a painting by Edvard Gerbhardt. On the back wall of the church hall is the altarpiece The Last Judgement from the 1760s, moved from the old church. The organ façade was designed by Stenbäck.
History
Pyhäranta (formerly Rohdainen), which belonged to Laitila, was transferred to become a chapel of Pyhämaa in 1688, and the parish's first church was built on the mainland in the 1690s. A second church was completed on the same site in 1758. Pyhäranta was separated as a parish in its own right in 1782, when Pyhämaa was assigned to it as a chapel.
It was decided in 1898 to build a new stone church in Pyhäranta. Preliminary drawings commissioned from architect Josef Stenbäck were approved in 1904-1905, and the church was built in 1907-1909. The preceding church was demolished in connection with its construction.
The parish received its present name in 1908, at the same time as Pyhämaa was separated from it as a parish in its own right.
