The Finnish Heritage Agency's description

Sauna-leivintupa on koko asema-alueen talouksille yhteinen hirsirakennus, jossa on leivinuunilla varustetun tuvan lisäksi sauna pesuhuoneineen.

Hanko-Hyvinkää -rata rakennettiin 1873. Otalammen asema avattiin liikenteelle V luokan asemana 1900. Asema-alueen pohjoisosaan rakennettiin vuosina 1898-99 arkkitehti Bruno Granholmin suunnittelema asemarakennus, jota laajennettiin 1908. Kaksoisvahtitupa valmistui 1910 Granholmin 1896 tekemien pienemmän kaksoisvahtituvan tyyppipiirustusten mukaan. Asemapäällikön talo valmistui 1908, sekin Granholmin suunnittelemana. Tyyppipiirustusten mukainen tavarasuoja on vuodelta 1934.

Otalampi station is a representative example, well preserved in its original form, of station grounds built to type designs in the countryside.

The Otalampi station area was situated in a remote village, and its buildings lie on either side of the village road that runs through the area. The station area, preserved in its original form, contains all the traditional buildings of the lowest station class.

Along the railway are the station building and goods storehouse. At the north end of the station building are a park and, unusually, a public privy. On the other side of the road are the double guardhouse, the stationmaster's jugend house and the necessary outbuildings. The sauna-bakehouse is a log building shared by the households of the whole station area; besides a room with a bread oven, it contains a sauna with a washroom.

The Hanko-Hyvinkää line was built in 1873. Otalampi station opened to traffic as a class V station in 1900. In the northern part of the station area, a station building designed by architect Bruno Granholm was built in 1898-99 and extended in 1908. The double guardhouse was completed in 1910 to the type designs of the smaller double guardhouse made by Granholm in 1896. The stationmaster's house was completed in 1908, also designed by Granholm. The goods shelter (tavarasuoja), built to type designs, dates from 1934.
