The Finnish Heritage Agency's description

Peipohja rautatieasema-alue on risteysasemana rakennuskannaltaan poikkeuksellisen laaja ja edustava. Kokonaisuuteen kuuluu asemarakennuksen ja tavaramakasiinin lisäksi useita eri ikäisiä asuinrakennuksia, mm. asemapäällikön talo, ja lukuisia talousrakennuksia.

Peipohjassa risteävät Tampere-Pori-rata sekä haararata Raumalle. Aseman alkuperäinen, radan valmistumisen yhteydessä rakennettu rakennuskanta edustaa tyylillisesti uusrenessanssia. Yksikerroksinen, ulkoasultaan jugend-sävyinen asemarakennus on aluperin ollut kaksikerroksinen. Veturitalli vesitorneineen sijaitsee asema-alueen länsipäässä. Asema-alueeseen kuuluu puisto.

Päätös rautatien linjauksesta Tampereelta rannikolle Poriin tehtiin 1889. Rata avattiin liikenteelle 1895, jolloin myös Kokemäen Peipohjan ensimmäinen asemarakennus valmistui. Haararata Raumalle rakennettiin erkanevaksi Peipohjasta, mikä vaikutti suuresti kylän kehitykseen radan valmistuttua 1897.

Kansalaissodan aikana 1918 Peipohjan asemarakennus tuhoutui.

Peipohja railway station area is exceptionally large and representative in its building stock for a junction station. The ensemble includes, in addition to the station building and the goods storehouse, several residential buildings of different ages, incl. the station master's house, and numerous outbuildings.

The Tampere-Pori line and a branch line to Rauma cross at Peipohja. The station's original building stock, built in connection with the completion of the line, is stylistically neo-Renaissance. The single-storey station building, which has a Jugend-tinged exterior, was originally two-storey. The engine shed with its water tower is located at the western end of the station area. The station area includes a park.

The decision on the route of the railway from Tampere to the coast at Pori was made in 1889. The line opened to traffic in 1895, when Peipohja in Kokemäki's first station building was also completed. The branch line to Rauma was built to diverge from Peipohja, which greatly influenced the village's development after the line was completed in 1897.

During the Civil War in 1918, the station building at Peipohja was destroyed. The Putaja railway bridge and the Pahankoski bridge were also destroyed, and they were rebuilt in the first half of the following year. Peipohja's new station building was completed in 1919, but its present appearance dates from 1929, after a fire. The engine shed and water tower were completed in 1895, and the newer part of the shed in 1928.
