Kuvaus
Myllykolun hirsilato on osa maastoon sulautuvan kesäteatterin rakenteita.
Saavutus, ajalleen tyypillinen mansardikattoinen huvila on rakennettu 1920-luvun alussa Kierikkalan kylään, Kirkkojärven rantaan. Nykyisin saavutus on Sillanpään vanhimman tyttären perikunnan omistuksessa.
Historia

Description
The homes of Nobel laureate author F. E. Sillanpää located in Hämeenkyrö are of essential significance for the assessment and interpretation of Sillanpää's life stages (youth, becoming a writer) and life's work (literary output). In his rural descriptions Sillanpää vividly described the landscapes of his home district, Hämeenkyrö, and the lives of its local people. Sillanpää's birth and childhood home Myllykolu, his youth home Töllinmäki, and the villa Saavutus, which the writer had built for his family, are representative examples of the building stock typical of their era within the cultural landscape described by the writer.
The Myllykolu croft is located in the village of Kierikkala, which forms the cultural and landscape core of the Hämeenkyrö national landscape. The landscapes associated with Sillanpää's debut work open out widely across the fields to Kallioistenselkä, seen from Sikomäki, the hill that dominates the general view. The modest building, with a log exterior, is jointed in the long-corner (pitkänurkka) style and has a small porch (kuisti). The yard also contains a small granary storehouse and a sauna building moved to the site. The log ceiling of Myllykolu is part of the structures of the summer theatre, which blends into the terrain. Owned by the municipality, Myllykolu has operated as a museum since 1962.
Töllinmäki, Sillanpää's youth home in Heinijärvi in Hämeenkyrö, is a modest 19th-century-era tupa built at the end of the 19th century, to which a peräkamari and a porstua were added in the 20th century. Later, in the 1970s, the tupa was restored and re-roofed with päre shingles. The tupa is board-lined with vertical boarding and left unpainted. Töllinmäki also operates as a museum, and it is one of the best-preserved of our writers' homes.
Saavutus, a villa with a mansard roof typical of its time, was built in the early 1920s in the village of Kierikkala, on the shore of Kirkkojärvi. Today Saavutus is owned by the estate of Sillanpää's eldest daughter.
History
The mäkitupa of Myllykolu was built from a granary storehouse moved in 1887 by F.E. Sillanpää's father, to which a pirtti was added later. After a bankruptcy, in 1905 Sillanpää's parents bought the modest tupa of Töllinmäki in a dilapidated state and restored it into a home.
In the early 1920s Sillanpää had Saavutus built with his family to the drawings of Bertel Strömmer, city architect of Tampere, but he turned its position on the site to obtain the view he wanted. The villa was meant to serve as the family's home, but the Sillanpää family lived there permanently for only four years. Because of the writer's poor financial situation, the family moved to Porvoo to take up permanent work offered by a publishing company. Later, the villa, owned by WSOY, was used as a summer villa and for Christmas gatherings.
