Seminaarin rakennukset on suunniteltu arkkitehti Jac. Ahrenbergin johdolla. Rakennukset ovat valmistuneet 1898-1899. Harjoituskouluun liittyy Bertel Saarnion 1953 suunnittelema laajennus ja erillinen opetustiloja käsittävä rakennus. Alueella on vanhojen seminaarirakennusten ohella eri-ikäisiä lisärakennuksia.

Seminaarialue on Turun yliopiston opettajankoulutuslaitoksen käytössä.

Raumalla seminaari sijoitettiin asumattomaan Myllymäkeen, vanhan kaupunkirakenteen luoteispuolelle.

Seminaarin rakennukset suunniteltiin arkkitehti Jac. Ahrenbergin johdolla. Arkkitehti Otto F. Holm osallistui suunnitteluun ja toteutukseen. Arkkitehti Bertel Saarnio suunnitteli 1953 harjoituskoulun laajennuksen ja uuden opetustiloja sisältävän rakennuksen. Luoteisnurkkaan rakennettiin arkkitehti Esko Mäkelän 1969 suunnittelema työpaja sekä Satamakadun varrelle Matti S. Heinon 1966-67 suunnittelema ruokala. Arkkitehtitoimisto Laiho-Pulkkinen-Raunio suunnitteli tontin länsiosaan uuden rakennuksen 1990-luvulla.

Rauma seminary is one of the teacher training seminaries of the late 19th century and the turn of the century, which resulted from the state's nationwide building project and the planning of the yleisten rakennusten ylihallitus.

Seminaarinmäki is a well-kept and varied park area. The seminary buildings are arranged in a composition along the crest of the hill, and there is a garden on the south slope.

As in the seminaries of Heinola and Raahe, the ground floor of the buildings is brick and the upper floor is wood. The area retains the main seminary building, the former director's residence now used as a library, the practice school, and the brick craft workshop and forge.

The seminary buildings were designed under the direction of architect Jac. Ahrenberg and were completed in 1898-1899. The practice school is linked to an extension designed by Bertel Saarnio in 1953 and a separate building containing teaching spaces. Alongside the older seminary buildings, the area contains additional buildings of various ages.

The seminary area is used by the Turun yliopiston opettajankoulutuslaitos.

Teacher training began when Finland's first seminary was founded in Jyväskylä in 1863. It was followed by the Swedish-language seminaries in Tammisaari and Uusikaarlepyy, and by the Sortavala seminary. The second phase of the seminary system fell in the 1890s, when the Raahe women's seminary, the Rauma men's seminary, the Heinola women's seminary and the Kajaani men's seminary were founded. The locations were chosen as far away as possible from the earlier seminary towns. In Rauma the seminary was placed on the uninhabited Myllymäki, north-west of the old town structure.

The seminary buildings were designed under the direction of architect Jac. Ahrenberg. Architect Otto F. Holm took part in the design and construction. Architect Bertel Saarnio designed the extension to the practice school in 1953 and a new building containing teaching spaces. A workshop designed by architect Esko Mäkelä in 1969 was built in the north-west corner, and a dining hall designed by Matti S. Heino in 1966-67 was built along Satamakatu. The architectural office Laiho-Pulkkinen-Raunio designed a new building for the western part of the plot in the 1990s.
