Kingsmill
Kingsmill Plantation is two miles south. Burwell's Ferry, a river landing, was there. In January, 1781, General Thomas Nelson, with militia, prevented Benedict Arnold from landing at the ferry. On April 20, 1781, Arnold and Phillips landed there and marched to Williamsburg.
