Eldon
Three miles north is Eldon, birthplace and home of Hal D. Flood, for many years a member of the United States House of Representatives. He was chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, January, 1913 - March, 1919, and the author of the resolution declaring war on Germany and Austria, April, 1917. He died in Washington, December 8, 1921.
