Lee's Birthplace
Two miles east is Stratford, built about 1727 by Thomas Lee. There January 20, 1732, was born Richard Henry Lee, who introduced the resolution in the Continental Congress for the Declaration of Independence. There Robert E. Lee was born, January 19, 1807.
