Cadw's description

Situated some 100m SSW of Plas Wern, the first of 3 buildings on W side of drive.

Early to mid C19 former cow-house, probably marked on 1840 Tithe Map. Formerly whitewashed. The interior was burnt c1987 and building was subsequently converted and extended as holiday accommodation.

Rubble stone with slate roof. Single-storey, originally with six doors, all with stone voussoirs. In conversion the first, fourth and fifth have become windows. c1990 windows and doors. An addition has been made at N end with two broad openings, one with recessed door, one with recessed large window. The addition also has a rear gabled projection on site of a low building gabled to N. Rear of original has door and window to right in original positions and three new windows.
