Cadw's description

Situated north of the Hotel Metropole in the gardens beside the Museum.

By B Lloyd and Son, sculptors of Rhayader.

Stepped granite plinth and tapering pedestal with cornice supporting full-height bronze figure of a soldier in military uniform with inverted rifle. Great War Memorial with inset lettering, 2nd World War Memorial inscribed below.
