In its own grounds near roundabout at junction of B4362 and B4355.
History
Early C19 house which from the 1940s to 1988 was used as a Carmelite Monastery.
Exterior
Early C19 two-storey stucco front with two front-gabled wings and centre section. Slate roofs with projecting eaves, cornice over 1st floor centre bay and stringcourse over Doric porch with fluted columns and pattern frieze. One double-hung sash window to each bay with cornices on volute brackets, marginal glazing bars.
Low extension to left of front connects with church 1954 (see separate entry). Two-storey rubble outbuilding to rear with ornamental bellcote and weathervane.
Original ashlar gate piers and railings at entrance to grounds.
Reason for designation
Included as an early C19 house retaining its character and with group value with Church of our Lady of the Assumption & St Therese.
