Cadw's description

The garden lies to the west of the house. The walls separate the garden from agricultural land to the north and west, and divide the formal garden to the north of the house from the more informal orchard and shrubbery which lies to the west.

Difficult to date, but probably not later than the early C19.

The walls are typical of the dry stone walls of Ardudwy, consuming field stone as well as marking boundaries. The western length incorporates a gateway through to the field beyond, and has a circular look-out with viewing platform approached by steps from the garden; this has low parapet wall, informally crenellated. There is a further gateway with simple strap iron gate in the wall between the formal garden and the orchard.

Listed as characteristic Ardudwy field walls incorporating an unusual garden feature. Group value with the house at Taltreuddyn Fawr.
