About 50 metres W of Usk Bridge.
History
C17 to C18 two-storey cottages partly timber-framed.
Exterior
No 7 has scribed render. Two small dormers, and 2 sash windows with stuccoed architraves on first floor. On ground floor, late C19 shop front with half-glazed door and with casing of pilasters, fascia and cornice. Stone stack to left hand.
Interior
Extraordinary deep and over scale cornice (late Regency date) to room above restaurant.
Reason for designation
One of a group of houses with early origins on important site on approach to Usk Bridge. Group Value with adjacent listed buildings.
