Cadw's description

On Monmouth's principal commercial street which leads out of the town square going south-west to Monnow Bridge.

Early C19, possibly with an earlier building behind; C20 shopfront.

The street frontage is in painted brick with a Welsh slate roof. Single bay double depth plan, three storeys. The ground floor has an altered early C20 shopfront with entry to the right, panelled stall-riser, 2-light display window, altered fascia. Eight over 6 pane sash with keyed head on the first floor, 4 over 8 on the second floor, hipped gable end roof. Rear elevation not seen.

Interior not seen at resurvey.

Included for its special architectural interest as part of a varied group of historic buildings in the Monmouth town centre.
