Opposite the entrance to Hendre Farm, approximately 3.7km ESE of Rhayader.
History
A mid C19 milestone shown on the 1889 Ordnance Survey, but re-positioned when the line of the road was altered in the C20.
Exterior
A freestone mile marker with rounded top, painted white with black inscribed letters reading: 'To Rhayader 2½ Miles.' and 'Penybont 7.'

Listed for its special historic interest as one of a series of well-preserved C19 milestones on the A44.
