Location
On the south side of the Church of St Mary.
History
Probably C15 in origin and the steps are medieval, but the cross and socket stone were added and the steps rebuilt or restored in 1888.
Exterior
Churchyard cross of dressed limestone with the steps of large square stones. It consists of a head, shaft and socket stone added to a base of four original square steps. Inscription on the socket stone, 'TO THE GLORY OF GOD ADMDCCCLXXXVIII THESE ANTIENT STEPS WERE BY SUBSCRIPTION RESTORED AND THIS CROSS SET THEREON, THE OLD CROSS BEING DISAPPEARED FROM A DATE BEYOND LIVING MEMORY'.
Reason for designation
Included for its historic interest as a medieval churchyard cross and for its group value with the Church of St Mary.
