Cadw's description

At edge of pavement adjoining side elevation of No 17 Great Oak Street; back to the street.

E11R, K6-type square, red kiosk of cast-iron construction to the standard design of Giles Gilbert Scott, architect of London. Design introduced by GPO in 1936. Foundry plate inscribed: "W MacFarlane & Co Ltd, Saracen Foundry, Glasgow".

Dome roof with 4 lunettes containing embossed crowns over red lettered opals and ventilation slits. Raised surrounds to sides and door with marginal bars to horizontal galzing. Blank rear, moulded plinth.

Included in list because of prominent location in an exceptionally fine - conservation area.
