Location
Located on a grass verge adjacent to a widened stretch of road. Not in its original position and approx. 1km from Commins Coch.
History
Probably C19. The style is different to others in this area, and the road may have been operated by a different turnpike trust.
Exterior
A roughly-hewn square-section stone pillar, now white-washed. Large inscribed letters to N and W sides, infilled with black paint. To the N, the milestone reads '20 NEWT' and to the W, '8 MACHYNLLETH'.
Reason for designation
Listed for its special historic interest as a milestone retaining strong vernacular character.
