Cadw's description

Approximately 0.9km W of the village centre, E of the entrance to Esgair Uchaf Farm.

Probably c1826 when the Newtown to Builth Wells Turnpike opened.

A freestone milestone with rounded top. It has a well-carved inscription reading 'Builth 22 miles' and 'Newtown 12'.

Listed for its special historic interest as a well-preserved mile marker with well-cut inscription.
