Cadw's description

Extending along the terrace of the former outer ward, W of and adjacent to Castle House.

Built on the wallwalk of the curtain wall in C19.

Long low barn of stone rubble with tiled roof incorporating two hipped tile hung roof dormers.Ventilation slits at two levels, three to gable ends; signs of masonry alteration; central double boarded door and end door at left. To rear the elevation, with one upper opening, is substantially deeper as the building was constructed on the retaining wall of the outer ward.

Queen-strut roof.

Early C19 barn with important Group Value with Castle House and Usk Castle curtain walls.
