Cadw's description

In an isolated rural location, raised above the N side of the Afon Mawddwch to ENE of Abergweirw; NNW of Rhiw Felen.

Probably C18 or early C19 field cowhouse.

Field cowhouse of coursed boulder construction, now with roof of profiled metal sheeting. Built into the hillside and aligned roughly N-S with the remains of an attached enclosure to E. The doorway is in the S gable, with small ventilation slit in the apex; pitching hole in opposite gable.

The interior could not be inspected at the time of the survey.

Included as a good C18 or early C19 field cowhouse, with good stonework and traditional character.
