Location
Situated facing S over bend in the road E of Wern Fawr on minor road some 300m NW of Esgair crossroads on B4576.
History
Small earlier C19 roadside cottage, single storey, marked on 1844 Llanrhystud Tithe Map as Istud, disused 2002.
Exterior
Cottage, rubble stone with slate roof and square stone left end stack. Long double front offset to left, with earlier C20 door to left of centre and one small 6-pane casement window each side. Timber lintel over door, single slab stone lintels over windows.
Interior
Not inspected, apparently with unheated parlour under loft to left, kitchen to right.
Reason for designation
Included as a little altered example of the single-storey cottages once common in the region now rare.
