Cadw's description

Set back, within private grounds, from the NW side of a country road leading W off the A5025 through the small hamlet of Rhoscefnhir. The gates and gatepiers are at the main entrance to the SE of the house.

Mid C17, probably contemporary with the house for which they were built.

The gateposts are built of dressed stone, square in plan and capped by shaped raking coping surmounted by large ball finials. A wide single gate is hung to R, the lower part has closely spaced rails, the upper has crossed braces and horizontal rails; the top rail surmounted by trefoil finials flanked by scrolled terminals.

Included as well preserved C17 gates and gatepiers which form a strong visual group with the adjacent house for which they were built.
