Location
On the W side of the main A483 road, to the N of Llwynderw Hall, 4km approx. SW of Welshpool.
History
Probably built c1830 as an estate cottage for Llwynderw Hall, possibly remodelling an earlier building. Shown on the 1840 Tithe Map and now known as Llwynderw Villa but historically one of a number of buildings collectively known as “Llwynderw Cottages”, and marked as such on the 1903 2nd Edition OS Map.
Exterior
Brick (rendered to side elevation) with slate roof and gable end stack; axial stack on side of rear wing. 2 storeys, 2-unit plan with central entrance. Door in wooden porch with open chamfered panels, trelliswork and projecting cornice. Flanking 3-light iron casement windows with cambered brick heads. Upper windows are 2-light small-paned iron casements. Similar windows in rear wing.
