Cadw's description
Location
Situated above the town to N and reached through an L-shaped farmyard.
History
C19 front with modern scribed cement render to L-plan structure of earlier, probably C17 origins.
Exterior
2-storey, 3-window with very steep pitch hipped slate roof, brick chimney stacks; end pilaster strips and lugged architraves to sash windows with glazing bars. Central pitched roof half-glazed porch with timberwork gable. Sash windows to 1st floor rear, W arm gable ended.
Interior
Interior retains C17 dog-leg staircase with intersecting turned banisters and upstairs room panelled to full height on 3 sides with moulded cornice; both probably relate to the period when the estate was owned by the Proger family who were strong Royalists and held office of state under the Stuarts. Roof timbers are later, possibly contemporary with the rendering.
