History
Mid C19; shop with accommodation above.
Exterior
Shop with accommodation above. Three storeys. Rendered (pebbledash scribed as masonry); hipped slate roof. Elevation to the Bulwark of 3 windows. Giant pilasters, bands at 1st and 2nd floor levels. Four-pane sash windows in reveals, moulded architraves; large shop front on ground floor. South-east return facing down The Watton has a shallow 2-storey 3-light canted bay window on 1st and 2nd floors and a large projecting shop window on ground floor. To Lion Street, long 2-window elevation with the windows towards rear.
Reason for designation
Mid C19 building retaining much character. Group Value with listed buildings in The Bulwark, Lion Street, and the Brecon Museum.
