Cadw's description

To rear (east) of Maes-y-garn Farmhouse.

Probably C18 (the lofted cowhouse block appears older than the long barn) with early-to-mid C19 granary and cartshed blocks. Large modern lean-to sheds to front and rear.

Large farm building range consisting of long barn, with wings projecting forward to each end. Stone with corrugated roof covering.
To centre, long barn with large doorway toward each end (centre obscured by modern lean-to); roof with pegged trusses with tie beams and raking trusses. To R, at right angles, a lofted cowhouse block in similar materials. Gable end has loading door at upper level, and on ground floor, to R, a doorway; single-storey attached gabled block. South elevation has three doorways.
At L end of main block, at right angles, a 2-storey block with granary on upper level, and stable-cartshed below. Upper level has round-headed loading door to centre; on ground floor, doorway to R, and cart doorway to L. Then lower cartshed block with 3 entrances; kingpost roof trusses.
