Location
On the S side of Bridge Street, overlooking the harbour.
History
Late C18 to early C19 town house with added late C19 2-storey oriel windows. Much restored since 1977 list, and the gate to the side with contemporary ironwork mentioned then has gone. Occupied by William Rees, retired sea-captain in 1881 census.
Exterior
House, painted stucco lined as ashlar with slate roof behind parapet and red brick right end stack. Three storeys, 2-window range, the ground floor very low with raised band at doorhead level. Two 2-storey canted bay windows on upper floors, 2-4-2-pane horned sash windows. Ground floor sash with 8 long panes to left, half-glazed door to right. Rendered right side wall with first floor band, and original arched main door to right. The stucco doorcase with Ionic pilasters and triangular pediment mentioned in 1977 has been replaced by a timber doorcase with thin columns, Ionic-type capitals and open pediment. Panelled reveals, 6-panel C20 door and fanlight with applied lead tracery.
Interior
