Location
Situated in the side of a hill on the edge of Hendre Quarry approximately 0.3km NW of Hendre. Reached from a private road to Hendre Quarry running N off the A541 near Hendre.
History
c1870 and originally attached to VO2 Mine.
Exterior
Rubble with brick dressings to openings, 3 storeys with altered or inserted openings to the front and 2 arched window openings to the top storey on the right hand return elevation.
Interior
Partial inspection only possible at time of 1995 survey.
Reason for designation
Listed as a good example of an engine house and for historical associations with local industry.
