Approximately 1.5 km SW of Soughton village.
History
Part of the Gwysaney Estate, the present house was built in the mid C19, replacing an earlier house shown on the 1839 Tithe map, and is first shown on the 1870 Ordnance Survey.
Gwysaney was built in 1603 but the historic character of the estate is derived principally from its redevelopment and enlargement after Philip Davies-Cooke inherited Gwysaney in 1821.
Exterior
Simple Gothic style 2-storey house with symmetrical 3-window front, of dressed snecked stone, and slate roof with projecting boarded eaves and wavy bargeboards pierced by trefoils. Ridge stacks R and L of centre have pairs of octagonal stone shafts. The windows are 2-light small-pane casements with wooden mullions and hood moulds. The central doorway has a replaced door and overlight. The L gable end has a single window in each storey similar to the front. An integral rear wing has similar windows in its side wall. Set back against the R gable end is a lower 2-window wing with hipped roof and replaced small-pane windows. Behind it is a 2-storey C19 projection with end stone stack and enlarged windows.

Listed as a well-detailed C19 estate farmhouse and for its contribution to the historic character of the Gwysaney Estate.
