Situated on the W side of the A477 attached to front wall of 'Mile End' near the centre of the village of Llandowror.
History
Milestone of 1838 on the Carmarthen to Pembroke Dock turnpike road, the cast-iron plaque cast by Moss & Sons of Carmarthen.
Exterior
Milestone, cast-iron plaque on stone attached to front wall of house. Canted front with two triangular-headed faces. On left: '11 miles to Carmarthen. Moss & Sons 1838'. On right : '22 miles to Hobb's Point Moss & Sons 1838'.
Reason for designation
Included for transport historical interest, as part of the earlier C19 turnpike system.
