Cadw's description

The outbuilding stands to the S of the front elevation of the house, across the driveway.

Probably built in the C19 as a washhouse for the main house.

Whitewashed stone rubble, with a slate roof. Single storey, with a large stone chimney stack at the E gable end. Boarded door towards the W end, and one small 4-pane window in an opening with a segmental head.

Included as an essentially simple outbuilding for the important farm at Cefn-caer, an important part of the domestic economy of the farmstead. Of group value with the house.
