In forest to S of forest car park which is about 500m W of Fishpools.
History
Probably a surveying tower connected with the aqueduct supplying water to Birmingham from the Elan Valley reservoirs.
Exterior
Circular stone tower in low courses of grey-brown stone. Window openings with both voussirs and lintels. Interior with ladder to top of tower.
Reason for designation
As part of the heroic Elan Valley water supply scheme, one of the wonders of C19 engineering.
