Cadw's description

In an isolated rural location to the SW of the B5435; c3kms ESE of Bylchau. The lofted cartshed and stable range lies directly N of the farmhouse at Glythau Isaf.

?C18 agricultural range

Agricultural range of cow-house, barn and single bay lofted cartshed at the right (E) end; now with lean-to additions to front and rear of W end. Built of rubble masonry with slate roof. The entrance to the cartshed has a rough hewn and cambered timber lintel, all other openings have rough dressed stone heads. Principal elevation faces the house to the S; cartshed offset to the far right (E) end, formerly with 3 doorways along the range, now with a single door to the left of the cartshed, a blocked doorway (with 6-pane light) to the left, the 3rd doorway (W) now obscured by a modern lean-to addition. First floor has a single opening offset to the left of the cartshed and set directly under the eaves; ventilation slits along the range to ground and 1st floors. Access to the loft is via a flight of brick and stone steps at the right (E) gable return. The rear elevation has 2 doorways and ground and first floor ventilation slits along the range; lean-to addition at the right (W) end.

Roughly hewn beams and lintel over the open cartshed bay. Internal inspection not passible at time of survey.

Listed as a well-preserved multi-purpose farmbuilding retaining original character and part of a complete farmstead group.
