Cadw's description

Located directly to the south of the barn situated to the south of the farmhouse at Fridd-isaf.

Cowhouse dated 1847 by inscription on door lintel.

Cowhouse. Roughly coursed rubblestone; slate roof. Entrance in north long wall through doorway to right with the inscription "EJ.CWMFEDW/ 1847" to the lintel. Boarded door to upper level in east gable end approached by external stone steps.

Roof to hayloft in 3 bays with 2 bolted A-frame trusses.

Included as a mid-C19 cowhouse forming part of a well-preserved group of farmbuildings at Fridd-isaf, representing a good example of a moorland-edge farmstead.
