Cadw's description
Location
The farm building lies immediately NW and in line with the wash-house and outbuilding at Plas Iolyn, adjacent to the house, and below the Great Barn.
History
The building was possibly erected in the early C19 as an animal house, probably for pigs. Plas Iolyn farmhouse was once the major sub-medieval house of this district.
Exterior
Built of stone rubble and a slate roof. Single storey, a single bay with door in the SE gable end, and a blocked door originally opening to a small walled area on the NW side. The yard wall on the SW side has two hopper-type feed openings.
Reason for designation
Included as part of the group of important farm buildings associated with the historically important farmstead of Plas Iolyn.
