Situated in rubble stone wall near the centre of Bow Street, on the E side of the A487.

Earlier C19 milestone on the Aberystwyth-Machynlleth road, marked on the O.S. map of 1823.

Round-headed white-painted stone milestone with picked-work finish, and black lettering following curve of head: ABERYSTWYTH 4 MILES. Bench-mark below.

Included as a well-preserved local mile-stone, part of the transport history of the region.
