Cadw's description

The gate piers are located close to the road, on the track to Wern Gogas, and face SW towards Felinheli.

Vaynol Estate boundary wall was commenced 1863 and construction continued until c1870. There are indications that the gates were built slightly before the wall.

Built of local freestone, and set in the coursed rubble estate boundary wall. Square in plan, slightly tapered up to a flat necking band, and weathered slate cappings. The wall is swept down each side; on the right to a similar but lower pier without the necking band.

Included as a bold and strong element in the listed Park Boundary wall of Vaynol Estate.
