Situated on W side of A 487 some 350m S of Talybont Square, opposite minor lane to Penrhyncoch.

Earlier C19 milestone with cast-iron plate, one of a series on Aberystwyth to Machynlleth road.

Round-headed stone with affixed round-headed iron plaque with roll border. Marked `ABERYSTWYTH 7 MILES', raised lozenge below. Benchmark on stone below.

Included for historic interest as survival of the turnpike road system of the region.
