Cadw's description

Situated about 1 km SE of Llandygwydd, on SW side of lane, opposite Rhyd Farmhouse

Later C18 clom (clay-wall) farmhouse, probably the original Rhyd farmhouse. Now used as outbuilding.

Whitewashed clay walls on stone plinth with thatched roof under corrugated iron. 48 degree pitch. One storey and loft, double fronted with small window each side of door. Plank door, casement windows, timber lintels.

Little altered interior, with N end wicker fireplace hood on large beam, short plank partition just right of door, and floor beam over door. Loft floor over centre and left. Roof has oak tie-beam trusses and double purlins, gorse underthatch. Interior in poor condition 1995.

Listed as one of the very few intact surviving clom cottages in South Ceredigion.
